Nearly a week of work but Thalia and Ange have pretty much finished the most important room in the house, Thalia’s bedroom.
Built and made the bed, hung pictures and clock (no glass in the clock after an incident during transit by Transit), tweaked the door back in to it’s original position on the corridor and the room looks like something from an expensive magazine. Let’s not dwell on the cost, the girls are happy with their ‘white box with a twist’.
Now maybe a bathroom and finished kitchen should become priorities.
They fly home tomorrow and Carl arrives on the same plane so it will be back to rough, manly work, a different type of shopping and worsening diet.
To get back into the tradesman mood we bought bags of plaster for Carl to play with today and took delivery of Adam’s new roof in kit form.
Roof looks like it will be good fun if the weather continues to be kind to us. We haven’t seen any clouds for a few days and temperature in the twenties so fingers crossed. Adam’s back later in the week and keen to get tiles moving as soon as we can.
A visit from Carmen late today who met the girls, toured progress and declared herself very happy with it all. Suggests we make the filter bed area into a terrasse which is an idea to consider.
